Its design was made by the Sikorsky in 1970's to the US army in a competition. This helicopter plays its role as a utility helicopter. Its design was approved in 1972 and its first flight was on 29 November 1974. The unit cost to built this helicopter is US$21.3 million. Its carrying capacity is about 12 troops and its maximum cruising speed is approximately 160mph.
Due to its many functions and destructiveness the Uh-60 Black Hawk is nicknamed as Night Stalker by many peoples.
On October 1993, two Night Stalkers were destroy down by the enemies at Somalia. On this occasion a phrase named Night Stalker Down was also written.
It has a lot of features containing safety and many other destroying weapons. About 4,000 Uh-60 Black Hawk have been manufactured .
